Lee O’Dell Eakright, 84, of Chicago, IL and Fontana, WI passed away Saturday June 8, 2024

surrounded by family after a short but difficult battle with today’s broken hospital system. He was a dedicated educator, school administrator, and a passionate advocate for public service. He was tireless in his support of his family and community. Lee was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and dear friend to many. He is survived by his three children, Alexis (Joshua) Murphy of River Forest, IL, Vicky McHugh of Fontana, WI, and Joshua Eakright of Fontana, WI, eight grandchildren: John, Declan, and Logan McHugh, Sadie, Jack, Ryan, and Mia Murphy, and Bee Eakright. He is preceded in death by his parents Dee O. and Florence R. Eakright, his twin brother Dee U. Eakright, and his wife of 38 years Gail (Sullivan) Eakright. Memorial Services will be held 3pm on Friday, June 14th at Fontana Community Church in Fontana, WI.
