Keith J. Bane OBITUARY

Keith James Bane, 85, of Lake in the Hills, died peacefully, June 7, 2024 at his home with his family by his side.

Keith was born May 20, 1939 the son of Kenneth and Frances (Wachewicz) Bane. On December 15, 1962 he married Kathleen Margaret Coffey. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Viet Naim War. Keith was a long time executive with Motorola. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, he also loved trains and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Keith was a very generous man and deeply devoted to his Catholic faith and was generous. He and Kathleen built their dream home in Minocqua, Wisconsin and loved spending time with family at the lake house. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Kathleen Bane, his daughters, Kimberly (Michael) St. Clair, Kristen (Bill) Pinter, and Karayn (Kurt) Schingoethe, by his nine grandchildren, Kaley, Maxwell, Kaitlin, Zachary, Nicholas, Steven, Ryan, Wyatt and Ryder, by his great grandchildren, Ellie, Brooks, Sloane, Adelynn and Bruno. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Gurtner.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Fran, and Ken and by his sister, Cynthia Bane.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church -10307 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL. The burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Huntley, IL .
