An award-winning journalist, Christy Gutowski focuses her work on criminal justice, government corruption and any story that speaks up for the little guy. Her favorite topics triumph the underdog and expose hypocrites. A native of the Chicago suburbs, Gutowski received a master's degree in public affairs reporting from the University of Illinois and is a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where she wrote for her college newspaper. She joined the Chicago Tribune in 2010 after nearly two decades at the Daily Herald.
